Hemm tlett sinjali għal TAĠEN. L-ewwel sinjal isir biż-żewġ idejn. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 kkurvata bis-swaba’ mifrudin u l-pala tħares ’il fuq. Is-swaba’ jferfru waqt li l-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ T u titbandal lura u quddiem għal fuq l-ewwel id. It-tieni sinjal juża id waħda biss li tieħu l-forma ta’ T u titbandal lura u ’l quddiem. It-tielet sinjal għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir sinjal bħal dak għal PLATT. Iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ L kkurvata u jitqiegħdu fuq quddiem ’il bogħod minn xulxin biex jiffurmaw ċirku kbir orizzontali. (ii) Imbagħad, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ T. L-id iddur ’il barra, ’l fuq u lura xi tlett darbiet.
There are three signs for FRYING PAN. The first sign uses both hands. One hand takes the shape of curved 5 with fingers apart and with the palm facing upwards. The fingers flutter whilst the other hand takes the shape of T and swings backwards and forwards over the first hand. The second sign uses only one hand in the shape of T which swings backwards and forwards. The third sign has two parts. (i) First the sign for PLATE is made with both hands in the shape of curved L. The hands are placed at the front away from each other to form a large horizontal circle. (ii) Then, one hand takes the shape for T and turns outwards, upwards and backwards about three times.
